Pies V Darlington
28th April 2007
For a change, Notts weren't battling to retain league status on the last match of the home season. What then could enliven a potentially dead fixture ? Well, the club managed to ensure the next best thing to promotion - the chance to wear the latest shirt in the summer preceeding the new season. For those interested in kits and all that kind of stuff, it also offered the chance to find a player worn top before they had even begun the new campaign. With a number of departures promised over the close and fresh squad numbers, there would also be the anomolie of  player worn shirts for players who weren't there in that particular season. Could get very complicated on Ebay later....
One thing to remember is that the shirts from this match were all signed before being flogged off on Ebay and in the shop. They all made about £50-100, the popular names going for more. If you've got a shirt from this game - here's a chance to see the player wearing it ......
A thirteenth placed finish was about as good as it got for the once promotion hopefuls

The Darlington game was the first chance to see the new kit and the players shirts went on the net and in the shop afterwards. The authenticity of this one is not in doubt as the absence of the Coca-Cola epaulette on the shoulder matches up with the pictures above and is due to Lee sporting the captain's armband.
